Align is designed to accurately align geometry in space. Using Align tool, you can either simply center geometry or set the exact distance or angle of rotation between geometry components.
The Align node is divided into 2 parts:
- The first is responsible for the position in space.
In this part, you can specify the source and destination pivots.
Pivot can be specified manually or taken from any geoemtry component of the scene.
This allows you to move components from one location to another, or for example set the exact distance between pivots.
- The second part is responsible for the geometry rotation. Precise rotation requires two vectors - right and up. In this part, you need to specify source vectors and destination vectors.
The vector can be specified manually or taken from any scene component.
With this part of the node, you can specify the exact angle of rotation between source and destination, or, for example, quickly change the orientation in space
